Please be advised that the Special Meeting of Town Council scheduled for tonight (Wednesday, September 1, 2021) at 7:00 p.m. at The Capitol Theatre at 159 South Main Street in Chambersburg has been postponed and will be rescheduled.

The Borough is experiencing intermittent power outages downtown due to rainwater in the underground electric network. In consultation with theatre personnel, the Council President and Vice President have decided to reschedule tonight's meeting.

A Special Meeting of Town Council will be rescheduled to review the report of the Exploratory Committee and to consider whether Council wishes to adopt a Local Human Relations Ordinance. Once a date and time is chosen by Council leadership, the meeting will be publicly advertised along with the draft Ordinance for the proposed local law.

The report and the draft Ordinance are available on the Borough website or by contacting the Borough Secretary.
