The Chambersburg Police Department would like to notify the public of a new paint scheme for its patrol vehicles.  Shown in the photo is the newest K9 vehicle to be put in service.  It is quickly noticeable that the paint and graphics differ from what has been in place for many years.  We want the public to know this vehicle will be the new look of the Chambersburg Police Department patrol fleet.  While you will still see the older vehicles in your neighborhoods, they will be updated as the patrol vehicle is replaced.  In the near future, you will see three more patrol vehicles updated with this paint and graphics.  This change allows cost savings to the police department, which was part of the decision to move forward with the new look of our vehicles.  Costs are consistently rising, and we constantly evaluate ways to save taxpayer dollars.  As always, when you see our police officers traveling through your neighborhoods, we encourage you to wave the officer down and engage in some great conversations.
