On 12/2/2021, at 0722 hrs, the Chambersburg Police Dept. responded to a report of a possible escapee being sighted in the 400 block of E Queen St.  Upon arriving in the area, Officer Mavila was able to locate & apprehend the escaped turkey without incident.  It's unknown which holiday, he successfully evaded, because he refused to talk with Officer Mavila.  Given that Thanksgiving is already over, it's highly likely that he was doing everything in his power to evade the Christmas table.   The escapee was transferred to a more comfortable environment at the Franklin Co Animal Shelter.  We'd like to wish the Best of Luck to the Holiday Bird.
