On July 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM the Chambersburg Police Department, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, presented a class on Elderly Financial Scams at the Franklin County Office of Aging.  The attendees were provided with information on how to avoid the top ten types of financial scams used against the elderly.  They were also provided resources in the event they become a victim of a scam.  If any Borough resident believes they are being scammed please contact the Chambersburg Police Department at 717-264-4131.  CPD would like to thank Agent Shallcross with the Office of the Attorney General, for his participation in this important training.
