Yesterday, Wednesday, April 2, 2025, officers from the Chambersburg Police Department, the Pennsylvania State Police- Chambersburg Station, and the Franklin County Drug Task Force conducted directed enforcement patrols in the borough.
These patrols are intended to protect the people in our community from those who break the law.
As most residents know, some subjects have made a concerted effort to harm while acting recklessly against others in the borough. This behavior affects all of us, not only the intended victims. It places our community in fear. Our borough has no place for it, and we tackled it head-on.
The men and women of the Chambersburg Police Department, our partners in PSP, and other members of Chambersburg's law enforcement team take their oaths seriously and have taken a stand against those who break the law.
The people in which we focused our efforts were those whose desire and intent is to harm our Chambersburg community and never our law-abiding citizens who work hard every day to provide for their families and community.
As a result of these patrols, 60 traffic stops were conducted, resulting in numerous citations and warnings issued, four misdemeanor drug arrests, three arrest warrants served, one misdemeanor arrest for Display of Fraudulent Registration Plates, and one arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance.
We thank our community for their support and promise to make every effort to keep you safe.
We thank the Pennsylvania State Police and the Franklin County Drug Task Force for their efforts and excellent teamwork with the CPD.
