The Chambersburg Police Department would like to wish all of the students in the greater Chambersburg Area good luck as they return to school for the 2025-2026 school year.

The return of school means that school buses will again be on the road.  The police department would like to take a moment to remind the public to be alert for children waiting at bus stops, crossing the street to get to buses, and walking to schools.  It is illegal to pass a school bus when the red lights are flashing, and the stop arm is extended.  Motorists also must obey the directions given by Crossing Guards.  

Students and parents are reminded to follow all directions from the school district regarding student drop-off, parking, and pick-up.

The Chambersburg Police will be in the areas of the schools to help the students arrive and depart safely.
