Arrest: Stephanie Shaffer

On 09/10/2019 at approximately 06:45 a.m., members of the Waynesboro Police Department, Franklin County Drug Task Force, DEA Diversion Unit and the PA Office of the Attorney General took Stephanie Shaffer into custody at her residence at 530 West 10th Street, Waynesboro. The arrests stems from an investigation initiated in May of 2019 when Shaffer was suspected of stealing Schedule II opioid narcotics from a local pharmacy where she was employed as a pharmacy technician. Shaffer has been charged with 32 counts
of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, 32 counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, 1 count of theft of pills with a dollar value over $2,200, 23 counts of furnishing fraudulent information on controlled substance official records and 1 count of violation of the Pharmacy Act. Shaffer was arraigned by MDJ Gomez Shockey and given $500,000 unsecured bail. Investigation is continuing.
