On January 14, 2021, Waynesboro Police initiated an investigation of an unattended death. As a result of this investigation, on March 18, 2021, Waynesboro Police arrested 25 year old Brianna Kristine Leiphart., 26 N. Church Street, Waynesboro. Leiphart was arraigned by MDJ Gomez-Shockey on charges of drug delivery resulting in death, manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver controlled substance and conspiracy- manufacture, delivery, or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver. Leiphart is being held at Franklin County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail.
