Incident Blotter

On 7/9/16 Officers attended the North Square Farmer's Market. Officer's utilized donated material to pass out safety information and allow children to color with a cop. Many children came by and colored while meeting members of the Chambersburg Police Department.
A brown and tan dog, possibly a cocker spaniel, was located in the 500 block of E Washington St. It's possible the dog came from the area of N 6th St. The owner can contact the Humane Society for further information.
On 07/05/16 at 08:08 Hrs, CPD responded to an accident at the intersection of Norland Ave. and Gateway Ave. Two vehicles were damaged, and towed from the scene. No injuries were reported.

On 06/24/2016, a woman only described as a Hispanic female, approached a house in the 400 block of Stouffer Ave. The woman asked for someone in the household who did not exist and presented the person who answered with a envelope marked as "official" in store bought red stamp lettering. Inside the envelope was a paper instructing the recipient to call their mortgage lender immediately. The reporter did so only to find out that the lender had not asked/mailed/sent any such letter to the reporter.
A red mountain bike was found on E Ludwig Ave near S Sixth St. The owner can claim the bike at the Chambersburg Police Station.
On 06/25/2016 at 0108 hrs Chambersburg Police were dispatched to Sheetz for a report of a Heroin Overdose. Officers arrived to find the patient unresponsive with limited breathing, lying in the parking lot. Naloxone was administered to the patient. The patient eventually regained consciousness and...
On 6-17-16 CPD responded to the 900 Block of Byers Ave for a report of a found green Huffy Mojave mountain bike. The bike was collected and returned to the station. The owner can retrieve the bike at the station with proper documentation.
On 6/10/16 at 2323 hours Chambersburg Police responded to the 200 block of West King Street for a report of a Heroin Overdose. Officers arrived and found the patient unresponsive with ineffective breathing. Naloxone was administered to the patient. The patient eventually came around and was...
CPD responded to a single vehicle accident on the 200 block of N Coldbrook Avenue. Officers arrived to find an SUV over the embankment into the stream. The driver had left the scene of the accident but later returned. The driver subsequently taken into custody for a violation of probation.

On 06/07/2016, Chambersburg Police Department assisted the U.S. Treasury Department execute a search warrant, in the Borough of Chambersburg. Investigation still pending.
