On 5/19/22 at 1417 hours, Chambersburg Police responded to a single-vehicle auto accident in the 1600 block of Orchard Drive. Police arrived on the scene to find a single vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree. This vehicle then spun around and went down a slight embankment. The driver was entrapped, and the fire department responded to extricate him from the vehicle. The fire department extricated the driver and then transported him to Holy Spirit Hospital by air medical. The driver was identified as George Horn. Horn is presently at Holy Spirit Hospital in their ICU. The cause of the accident is still under investigation at this time.
