On September 29th 2022, the Chambersburg Police Department responded to Pine Woods Park, located at Hollywell Ave and Dump Rd, regarding cruelty to animals. It was found that a brown in color dog had been abandoned in the wood line, tethered to a tree. The dog was able to slip the tether at some point, but remained in the area. A photograph of the dog captured by bodycam is attached. CPD is actively investigating this incident, and is asking that anyone with information contact CPD at (717) 264-4131, or submit a tip on crime watch.
