On 10/9/2020, at 1345 hrs, the Chambersburg Police Dept. responded to the intersection of W Loudon St. and Cedar St. for an accident involving a pedestrian. Upon arriving, a pedestrian was being treated by the Chambersburg Fire Dept. for an injury to her wrist. The driver of the vehicle was on the scene as well. It was determined that the pedestrian was crossing over W Loudon St. in the crosswalk. The striking vehicle had stopped at the stop sign on Cedar St and was turning left onto W Loudon St. The driver failed to see the pedestrian crossing the street and lightly struck her resulting in the wrist injury. The driver was later cited for a stop sign violation for failure to yield to a pedestrian at a stop sign / intersection.
