Broadcasts

UPDATE:  Some phone lines into the Emergency Communication center are beginning to work.  However, citizens may still have issues.  Citizens that experience problems with calls for service or 911 calls are again reminded that text to 9-1-1 is an option.  The text to 9-1-1 should only be used for true emergencies.  Please be patient while the phone companies work through these issues.

The Franklin County Dept. of Emergency Services advised CPD that there is an issue effecting multiple phone lines across FRANKLIN, Adams and Cumberland counties.  This issue effects phone calls via land lines to the county 911 center.  Currently, the only means of contacting Emergency Services is through TEXT To 911.  In the event of an emergency, utilize a cell phone and text message to 911.  They are working on the problem.  Another broadcast will be put out when the problem has been corrected.
